Around 3 people were killed in the country's alleged gunfight with the law enforcement agencies. In this situation, the number of deaths in 9 districts today stands at 9. Police claimed that all the dead were involved in drug trade. A number of law enforcers were also injured in these incidents.
These happen in the morning of Wednesday (May 23rd). Among the dead, two people in Kushtia and one in Comilla's Palashbari, Feni, Jamalpur, Rangpur, Gaibandha, Lalmonirhat and Thakurgaon. The law enforcers recovered drugs, arms and ammunition in these cases. The injured policemen and RAB members were treated.
Earlier on Tuesday (May 22th) two people were killed in Comilla's Arananpur, 2 in Nilphamari, and Dinajpur, Bay of Barisal in Chittagong, Lemuya of Feni, Alamdanga of Chuadanga and 1 in Netrokona. On Monday (May 21st) in Jessore 3 people, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Dinajpur, Jhenaidah, Chuadanga and one in Tangail were killed. Four people were killed on Sunday (May 20th) in the morning and 3 in the morning on Saturday (May 19th). In the last one week too many more have been killed
