International human rights group Amnesty International has demanded that the top military officers of Myanmar should be tried in the International Criminal Court (ICC) for violent Burma and Myanmar crimes against minority Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar.
According to Amnesty, the United Nations Security Council should send top officials including the military commander of Myanmar to the ICC. Besides, these officers and countries should impose full arms embargo on Myanmar as the country.
After a 9-month investigation, a detailed 190-page report was published on Wednesday (June 27th).
It is mentioned in the report that the horrific violence that has been carried out on Rohingya Muslims by Myanmar's state patronage has the mountainous evidence of Amnesty's hand.
In the face of attacks, murder, torture and rape of Myanmar's military and extremist Buddhists, more than seven million Rohingya women, men and children from Myanmar were forced to leave Bangladesh last year.
