Private teachers and employees are going for a continuous sit-in program and movements, because there is no clear statement on the inclusion of new private educational institutions in the proposed National Budget for the year 2018-2019.
The program will start from 10am on Monday (June 17th) in front of the National Press Club.
The program was announced from the sit-in front of the National Press Club on Sunday afternoon.
Earlier, they were protesting against the National Press Club lasting 10 days from 10 June. They held a procession on the streets of Eid on Saturday, after the Eid prayers.
Non-MPO Education Institutions Teachers and Employees Federation President Principal Golam Mahmudunnabi said, "Our movement for Ramadan and Eid (position program) will be half-day but day-night programs will be celebrated tomorrow. As long as the MP has not been given the MPO as promised, we will stay on the streets.
He said, "After the finance minister's budget speech, the non-MPO teachers' society is frustrated. And from this despair again they are going to the constant movement. '
He also said, "We had hoped the budget for the upcoming fiscal year would be allocated for the MPO. But we were frustrated. So, in the Ramadan, with the humanitarian application of Bachamara, the teachers are forced to go on the streets. "
Principal Golam Mahmudunnabi said, "Teachers and employees of most educational institutions have been working for 15 to 20 years without pay. Many people have jobs and only 5 to 10 years. Therefore, this educational problem will be solved in the current government's tenure without waiting for an educational institution.
He said, "After so many years, the partial solution of educational institution MPO Bhakti will not be adjudged properly. Illicit competition will emerge after taking initiative to enroll some of the MPOs from recognized educational institutions. Therefore, the overall solution of the MPObiquity should be resolved. '
But in the Finance Minister's budget speech, there is no clear statement about the appointment of new private educational institutions, but after the announcement of Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid Baz, the respondent said, "There are still opportunities for MPEGO registration. Hopefully the Finance Minister will keep his words and non-MPO teachers and employees will be given this opportunity.
It is to be noted that the teachers and employees of non-MPO educational institutions started a permanent position program in front of the National Press Club on December 26 last year demanding MPO. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina assured the leaders of the movement on 5 January this year that the non-MPO Education Institutions Teachers and Employees Federation organized the program on one hand. The Prime Minister's then private secretary Sajjadul Hasan Depending on the assurance the location of the program is postponed.
After the assurance of the Prime Minister, various stages of government were being told that new private educational institutions will be included in MPO budget for the year 2017-2016. Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith has not said anything about the MPO bid for the new fiscal year's budget proposal on June 7. This creates new frustration among non-MPO teachers and employees. And this disappointment has again called the continuous movement of Non-MPO Education Institutions Teachers and Employees Federation.
